Photobucket

This is so intense, and there is so much detail to it. It's possibly too intimidating, it's obvious from a glance that's it's complex and that might put some people off actually watching it. Still, it's pretty impressive.

If you want to see it larger go here:

Rube Goldberg

The content of Rube Goldbergs illustrations are of the same nature as Heath Robinsons. Some of Goldbergs aren't as easy to understand.
I think it's important to make people understand whats happening and so a couple of things that might help include lettering stages (unless it will be moving) and also some sort of caption, describing what the machine does. e.g. self applicating toothpaste machine

Heath Robinson

We're now looking at inventions which are completely over the top to produce something pretty trivial. The term Heath Robinson is often used to describe these kind of machines, in honour of the illustrator. I absolutely love these drawings, I think they take a lot of thinking, and also you need to be having fun while you do them. This kind of thing is something I've been interested in before, for example the postcard I produced for the craft fair previously *the santa trap*.
