BBC's original news footage from the Southall race riot, where a young teacher died. National Front (extreme right wing) decided to hold a meeting within an area which was predominately an asian community. The community saw this as a deliberate attempt to insult them, and protests began.

The news footage here is really interesting, and some really strong imagery so I'm going to use some screen shots to summarise some of the things that happened that day.
